THORNE NATURE EXPERIENCE

Design/Build

Longmont, Colorado

Faurot Construction was presented an opportunity to meet with Thorne Nature Experience as they began planning their relocation from Boulder to Lafayette with the goal of consolidating their classroom spaces and offices onto one property. We were initially awarded the contract for extensive preconstruction services which eventually rolled into the construction of the two ground-up buildings on an empty lot including a new parking lot and nature/play experience area. The nature play area also connected with open space and City of Lafayette trail systems to help integrate with the local community. The two new buildings consist of classrooms/daycare programs along with offices and meeting areas for Thorne’s operations staff and community programs.

“From support to optimizing design within a dynamic construction market through to completion of a quality of build, Faurot was an exceptional partner.  They achieved an ambitious 10 month build schedule and kept our project not only on time, but on budget.  Their on-site staff could not have been more dedicated and supportive to the success of this project when big challenges arose and in ensuring the smallest details were covered.  We feel so fortunate to have had Faurot Construction help bring our dream of the Lafayette Nature Center to life.”
